How To Get PianoSoft™ Titles

System requirements:

OS: Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP/Vista
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) / Celeron(R) family 233MHz or over （500MHz recommended）
Hard Drive Space: 128MB or over （512MB recommended）
RAM: 64MB or over （256MHz recommended）
Display: 800x600 dot or over / HighColor （16-bit）
Microsoft(R) Internet Explorer(R) 5.5 or higher

Follow these steps to install Musicsoft Downloader version 5.5 and download your purchased Pianosoft™ files or the free samples below.

Step 1

Get Musicsoft Downloader installer
Download Version 5.5

Step 2

Install Musicsoft Downloader by clicking on the installer icon
By default the installer is saved to your Desktop. After installation a shortcut to the Musicsoft Downloader application should appear on your desktop. You do not need to open this program manually in order to download Pianosoft files, as the Musicsoft Downloader program will open automatically when downloading a Pianosoft file.*

Step 3

Insert a regular blank floppy diskette into the floppy drive of your computer.
Disklavier and Clavinova models produced prior to 1996 can only read 2DD (double density 750KB) floppy disks. All other Disklaviers and Clavinovas can use either 2DD or 2HD (high density 1.44 MB) disks. To check your instrument's disk compatibility, please refer to this list.

Step 4

You are now ready to download the selections.
Select from the free PianoSoft™ sample files below or from the order history in your account. When a dialogue box opens asking whether you would like to save the file to disk or open it with a program, choose to open the file with MusicSoft Downloader. The program will then download the files and save them to your floppy disk.

* If you open the MusicSoft Downloader program manually, you will be asked to choose to either download PianoSoft™ from yamahamusicsoft.com or transfer files between your PC and your instrument. The first option will take you to this page, from which you can access PianoSoft™ samples, or log in to your account through the "Log On" link on the top of the page and download your purchased files. The second option is used to transfer data to Yamaha’s MIDI enabled keyboards, but cannot be used with PianoSoft™ software.
