Finding the Right Products For Your Instrument

To get started, we recommend selecting your instrument first. Selecting your instrument will allow the site to filter out products that are not compatible with your model, as well as recommend products that are especially suited for your instrument.

You can choose your instrument on any page on the site using the "select your instrument type" and "select your instrument model" drop down menus.

Once you've selected your instrument model, every item you see on the site will be compatible with your instrument!

You can also select your instrument from the top page in the "Shop for Music Products" area beneath the Disklavier, Keyboard or Clavinova headings.

You can change your selected instrument at any time, by clicking "clear instrument" below the "change your model" drop down menu and then selecting a new instrument.

Browsing the Site

Whether you select your instrument model or not, you still have many options for browsing Yamaha MusicSoft. However, once your instrument model is selected, you will be directed to a page that deals exclusively with your instrument.

From this page you may look through our "Staff Picks," which show suggested items for your instrument or use any of the other available options to find what you're looking for.

Under "Product Types" you'll find a list which you can use to browse the site by the general type of items you are trying to find. The options under "Things to Do" will lead you toward items designed to meet your music making goals whether it's "Learn,""Listen" or "Play Along." The "Browse by Interest" links give you the option to search for products by artist name, song title, genre, or to see all shippable or downloadable items.

Or to search for products, type in search words into the "Search" field at the top of the page at any time. To refine your search you can select from the categories displayed next to the search box.

On subsequent pages, you can continue narrowing down what you are trying to find by choosing options much as you did on the first page. You will then come to a list of products. To find specific products from here, you can either sort the listed products, search within the list, or refine the list using the boxes near the top of the page.

To see more information about a product or to add it to your cart, click on the product name or image. This page contains all details about our products, including audio samples which, when available, will appear the left side of the screen. Some pages will contain information about multiple versions of a product.

Checking Out / Making Purchases

From a product's detail page, you may click the "Add to Cart" button to add the item to your cart and begin to the checkout process. At this point, you may purchase items by clicking the "Add to Cart" button. If the page contains details for multiple versions, you'll need to choose which version you want by clicking the selection button before adding the item to your cart. Some products with specific instrument compatibility will also require you to choose your instrument before purchasing.

Once you select "Add to Cart" you may review the items you've chosen or change the quantities of each item you want to buy, proceed with the checkout process or continue shopping. If you choose "Continue Shopping," all products will remain in your cart.

To change the quantity of your selected item, simply enter the number of items you want in the box under "Qty" then click on the "Refresh Cart" button at the bottom of the screen.

"Proceed to Checkout" will lead you to the final steps of purchasing your item.

If you have not created an account on our site, or are not logged in, you will be asked to log in or register before entering your billing information.

Once you've hit "Proceed to Checkout," you will be asked to fill in your relevant billing information at each step. To go on to the next step, press the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page.

Registration

Before you place orders on the site you will first need to register with us. You can click on "Register" at the top of any page to complete the short registration form. After making a purchase, you can access your order history and purchased downloads from your account by clicking on "Log On" at the top of the page, and entering your registered email address and password. Once logged on, you can access your order history at any time by clicking "My Account".
