In 1878, the eight “Slavic Dances” for Piano (four hands) were composed – later arranged for orchestra – that appeared to help Dvorák's international recognition. The dances are among Dvorák's best known piano literature. It uses no original melody, but rather relates characteristic elements of slavic dance music into the characteristic melodic invention.

An 8-piece-suite by Antonin Dvork, the romantic era Czech composer. Like his famous “New World Symphony”, students can enjoy dynamic rhythm and melodies with the taste of Bohemian and Slavic folk music.
