How to download the registration data to USB flash memory

System Requirements:
  • Electone STAGEA version 1.60 or higher  Click here to obtain the latest version
  • OS: Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP/Vista/7
  • Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) / Celeron(R) family 233MHz or over (500MHz recommended)
  • Hard Drive Space: 128MB or over (512MB recommended)
  • RAM: 64MB or over (256MHz recommended)
  • Display: 800x600 dot or over / HighColor (16-bit)
  • Browser: Microsoft(R) Internet Explorer(R) 5.5 or higher
  • USB flash memory
  1. If you need to update your firmware, follow these instructions:
    a. Select your product model on the Yamaha Global site.
      i. If you own an ELS-01, select "ELS-01 typeU"
      ii. If you own an ELS-01C/ELS-01X, select "ELS-01C typeU"
    b. Select the "Support" tab.
    c. Download and install the latest firmware (Windows and Mac versions available)
  2. Click here to download and install Musicsoft Downloader.
  3. Install Musicsoft Downloader by clicking on the installer icon
    By default the installer is saved to your Desktop.
  4. Prepare the USB flash memory.
    Only certain USB flash memory devices can handle Protected Songs with the STAGEA.
    Confirmed Compatible USB Device Chart (PDF File)
    * STAGEA version 1.60 or higher is required.
    * This example photo is for illustration purposes.
  5. Connect the USB flash memory device to a computer.
    * If you are using Windows 98SE, you'll need to install driver software.
    Refer to the owner's manual of your USB flash memory.

  6. Store the song data.
    After purchase, or from the Redownload Items page in My Account, click "Download". If prompted, choose to open the file with Musicsoft Downloader.

    When downloading of the data is completed, Musicsoft Downloader will open automatically. The display below (or a similar one) will appear, and the title will be indicated in the "List of files stored temporarily."
    Click on the filename(s) ending with ".C02".


    Under the folder "My Computer" at the lower left of the display, select the USB flash memory drive (labeled for example: Removable Disk). After selecting the folder for storage, click the "MOVE down" button. The sample data will be moved to the USB flash
    * The Song Name may be in Japanese and may not be correctly displayed in the English version of Windows; however, this is no problem and does not affect the operation.

    For convenience's sake, when downloading purchased data, you can first make a folder corresponding to the title name of the music book and move it into the appropriate folder. Here for example, you could create and name a new folder "DancePop5-3".
    * Make sure to use the Musicsoft Downloader Ver.5.3.0 or higher when moving protected data to the USB flash memory.
  7. Playback the data on the STAGEA (PDF File)
